Thoughts On Cooking For My Family

I believe that food is more than just survival, it’s about comfort, love, and bringing people together.

June 27, 2024 Repeat All Carb Dinner

Today a completely different configuration. Both Michelle and John have business dinners to attend this evening. Sasha left on a trip to San Francisco. She’ll be gone a month. So it’s just myself and Apollo. I remembered how happy he was the evening I cooked soft foods for Sasha after she had her wisdom teeth pulled. So I decided to do a repeat.

Baked Beans and Macaroni and Cheese

He was so happy.

We ate at about 4:30 because he had swim team practice later on. He ate a huge bowl full. I cleaned up the kitchen and left the food out covered up. He ate another huge bowl when he got home from practice.

The beans were a little dry this time. I thought I would remember the recipe so I didn’t take it with me. I remembered the ingredients okay, but forgot what temperature for the oven. I set it at 325 degrees. Wrong, should have been 300. Oh well, next time. We like this recipe so am sure will cook it again sometime.
